A new trailer has been released for the long awaited sequel to 2005's "Sin City", and it's freaking awesome.

The new movie, in cinemas on the 22nd August, will once again weave together a number of different Sin City tales; and from the look of the trailer it looks as if the story "Family Values" will play as big a part in the film as "A Dame to Kill For"

A third story, rumoured to have been written specifically for the film, is "Just Another Saturday Night".  Whether this is a new story, or a re-working of a short...

This week has seen a raft of announcements as to who will be appearing at next year's Sci Fi Weekender 6. For the uninitiated, the Sci Fi Weekender takes place at the Hafan y Môr holiday camp near Pwllheli in Wales. Rather than being just a simple convention, SFW aims to provide a complete experience where attendees can immerse themselves in all aspects of the science fiction and fantasy culture.

Next year's event looks set to be one of the biggest yet as it expands to include a live music stage with various Prog, Space and...

With just over a week to go until the UK release of Dawn of The Planet of the Apes, the marketing machine at 20th Century Fox is really kicking into overdrive. Three short films have been released, bridging the ten year gap between Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, that have collectively been called Before the Dawn of the Apes.

Year 1 tells the story of a family split apart by the outbreak of the Simian Flu virus.

From the mind of Hellblazer and Skreemer scribe, Peter Milligan and art from Wolverine's Leandro Fernandez, The Names looks to be an interesting new title from DC's Vertigo imprint. I don't know about you guys, but I can't think of any better news to start off my week. Due to be produced by Tiger Aspect, I Survived A Zombie Apocalypse will see eight contenstants trapped together in a shopping mall during a full blown invasion of the undead.

I'm intrigued as to how the logistics of the show will play out, but apparently it's a case of one bite and you're out. According to the BBC, "The contestants must live by their wits, make difficult decisions, and use urban survival tactics. Their ultimate goal is to avoid...

Chronicle director Josh Trank has been confirmed as director for one of the proposed stand alone Star Wars movies to be released in addition to the new core trilogy. Details are few and far between for now, but I would expect the internet to be ablaze with news in the forthcoming weeks, especially as shooting continues on Episode VII.

Trank states, "The magic of the Star Wars Universe defined my entire childhood. The opportunity to expand on that experience for future generations is the most incredible dream of all time."
