Netflix is adding another feather to its cap, its very own Comic Book.

Mark Millar today announced the name of the first franchise he will be working on, since Netflix bought out Millarworld back in the Summer.  Titled "The Magic Order" it will be the first comic book for Netflix, and the first new comic created by Millar since the Netflix acquisition.

Described as "Magic meets the mob" it will be the story of "Five families of magicians sworn to protect our world for generations must battle an enemy who's picking them off one by one.  By day they live among us as our neighbors, friends and co-workers, but by night they are the sorcerers, magicians and wizards that protect us from the forces of darkness"

Due for release in Spring 2018 in both print and digital formats, the six issue run will be written by Mark Millar, with the artwork being handled by Olivier Coipel (Thor, The Avengers, The Amazing Spiderman)

I look forward to the UK Games Expo every year, it's one of the friendliest and most interesting conventions out there.  I love the build up, making a list of the games I'm looking forward to playing and the designers I'm looking forward to speaking to at the Press Previews.  Most of this comes from the emails I get sent in the weeks leading up to the Expo, and I try to get around everybody.  But one game stood out for me this year, and it was my first port of call on the Friday morning. That game was Temp Worker Assassins.  Designed by David Newton, with great artwork from Adam Bolton, Temp Worker Assassins is a wonderful hybrid deck building/worker placement game.

Set in Bureaucrat Castle, you have been hired to infiltrate and eliminate, over the course of a five day temporary contract, as many employees as possible.  To do this you need to make creative use of office stationery, using it to lethal effect to take out a variety of foes; from...

This year, Europe’s #1 Sci-fi and Fantasy Festival adds extra talent, pizzazz, and magic to the mix when it returns to Camp SFW, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, North Wales between 30th March and 2nd  April 2017 for SFW 8: the legendary Sci-fi & Fantasy Weekender!

“We’ve always had magic,” admits CEO Jonni Davis, “How could you not, surrounded by landscapes like these in North Wales? This year, though, we’re putting on the biggest and best Sci-fi & Fantasy Weekender yet. How magic is that?”

SFW is delighted to announce its line-up of guests, including three new exciting additions:

For Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans, Nicholas Brendon will be attending on the Friday. Nicholas played Xander in Buffy (one of Buffy’s core ‘Scooby Gang’ vampire slayers) in this incredibly popular, influential and (let’s face it) kickass series.

We’re also delighted to welcome Chris Barrie Famed as Arnold Rimmer in Red Dwarf (the only ‘Dwarf character with his own super-catchy...
