Astronaut, Adventurer, Raconteur, Seeker Of Truth and Billionaire Playboy Philanthropist.
These are some of the many things I'm not.
I have been, Theme Park Worker, Student, Mobile Phone tester, Electricity Theft investigator, Outsourcer and Project Manager.
I am also a fourty-something family man (or wretchedly decrepit old nag ready for he last trip to the vet, if you believe my wife.
I've never fully grown out of teenage geekiness. A geekiness grounded in a love of (but no skill at) science and technology, the space age and PUNS.
I owe my marriage to noticing a copy of the New Scientist on the desk of a new colleague . I say colleague, I was her boss for a couple of months. A situation that was quickly remedied and is one that has never been repeated (that's being her boss, I don't make a habit of rummaging through women's reading material making notes and psychologically profiling them).
This relationship has seen me dragged around the country to different locations, since the copy of the New Scientist was not just for show, and I find myself following my personal Mad Scientist (well she's usually mad at me anyway) to the various laboratories she works at.
This has brought us to Oxfordshire, and the next house to Spindles and his Wonky Spanner site !
After a year or so of prevaricating, I finally took the plunge and posted a review, then another and so on.
I sporadically post things when time, wife and daughter allow.
In addition to the geeky reviews I'm working my way up to getting around to doing other things like... erm... y'know... stuff...
When I figure out what they are I'll let you know.
